THE ORIGIN AND POWER OF MOBILITY

Human species are in built with mobility mechanism from their very basic natural body components. I am talking your legs, hands and basic reflexes that support motion. We are not meant to be confined at one place naturally. That is why the idea of a prison is used as a form of punishment. History teaches us that we originated someplace in the DRC yet we now have occupied been all habitable places on God’s green earth; from the highlands to the valleys of the world. Man’s needs, safety and curiosity have been largely been fulfilled with his ability to move from one place to another. From this reference, we learn that we are hardcoded beyond our understanding to move and explore; to feed our curiosity and to better our lives which has been coined as “finding greener pastures”. Its is our innate nature to always move from time to time. Mobility in itself is a process, when a child is born, he/she learns movement from scratch this which almost comes naturally from crawling until one day he/she is competing in the Olympics. Like wise man has evolved from walking, riding on animals back and now has evolved to creating motors to aid the same. Let’s now talk about how travelling or moving affects us; our moods; our mindset. Before we move from a very familiar place to a place that is new to us, we tend to have different feelings varying from one individual to another. Some of us tend to get very excited other anxious and others a combination of both depending on an individual past experiences. In my experience, I cherish the moments of the travel and the memories it builds; the interactions with the people we get to cross paths, the realization of how broad the world is, the change of perception, the beautiful landscapes, the horizon and Gods elegant nature that we so often ignore when facing our daily activities. You tend to expand your view and open up to the many possibilities that you did not think of before. This is something our ancestors knew too well, which has led to many breakthroughs in the transport industry from a horse carriage to trains to vehicles and air buses. The sole objective of this inventions is to facilitate smooth movement from point A to point B. We need to understand our history so as to understand who we are. The more things change the more they remain the same. Major technology advancements have been made through in he recent past especially in the communications field. In today’s world you can video call anyone anywhere in the world in a matter of seconds. But we can all agree that nothing beats meeting in person and looking one in the eye. In our lives we owe it to ourselves to travel, even on the smallest of the distances. Take time of your schedule and visit your relatives in the country side or visit a park or a city whenever it is you will always get a thought or two that will calm the chaos down and fuel success and hope in an otherwise hopeless situation. Thanks. See you on the next one.
